Scott Simpson – Elder
Scott was raised in Metro Detroit in a loving home with parents who encouraged him to grow in his faith in Jesus and in his church involvement from an early age. While earning his business degree at Hillsdale College, he met his wife, Julie, and after graduating, they married and began their careers back in Metro Detroit. After starting a business early in his career, Scott served in a leadership role at Google which took Julie and him to Dublin, Ireland and later Sydney, Australia where he managed business teams across the Asia Pacific region. God blessed Scott and Julie with their daughter and then their son both being born in Australia. As they felt called to move closer to home, the Lord led them to New York city where they attended Redeemer New York while Scott worked in various technology leadership roles. Finally, they moved back to Michigan in 2020, planting their roots in Ann Arbor and attending Redeemer Ann Arbor from their very first Sunday back.
Scott is an introvert at heart loving deep conversations with friends and new acquaintances. He enjoys reading non-fiction, discussing entrepreneurship, and watching a good football game or movie. Most of all, Scott is happiest when he is with his wife and two kids no matter what they are doing.
