God has given Redeemer Ann Arbor an opportunity to form partnerships with two ministries dedicated to the work of evangelism, discipleship, and service in and around Ambato, Ecuador – La Iglesia Filadelfia and Compassion Connection.
La Iglesia Filadelfia
La Iglesia Filadelfia is a church plant that is similar in age and size to Redeemer Ann Arbor. Located in Ambato, Ecuador’s tenth most populous city, Filadelfia serves as a shining beacon of hope, faith, and love in Christ.
Compassion Connection
Compassion Connection is a missions organization that exists to edify the local body in Ecuador through planting churches, training leaders, and serving as an intermediary between Ecuadorian churches and churches in the United States that have a desire to come alongside those local congregations to partner with them in ministry.
Partnership Plan:
- Mission Teams: A mission team from Redeemer Ann Arbor will go to Ambato, Ecuador every year during U of M’s Spring Break.
- Mutual Prayer: We will pray for their ministries and they will pray for ours. We will commit to keeping each other informed so that we can pray for each other.
- Pastoral Training: A focus of Compassion Connection is training local pastors in Ecuador. Pastor Jim has been invited to be a part of the team of US pastors that helps with the training programs.
